The SpanishAviation Safety Agency (AESA) has certified a B737 flight simulatormanufactured by Lasa Dynamics as an FNPT II MCC. The simulator was built forthe Burgos-based pilot training school FlyBy and installed at the AirSimulation Centre of the University of León.
This is Lasa Dynamics’ second unit certified byAESA in less tan a year, a simulator the company markets under the name Gen738.The first has been operating at Top Aviator in Puerto Banús, Marbella. Thissecond certification marks another significant milestone for the young Spanishstart-up, headquartered at the Álava Business and Innovation Centre, just a fewkilometres from Vitoria.
Founded in 2023, Lasa Dynamics specializes inflight simulation and aviation training solutions. The company designs andmanufactures FNPT II MCC and FTD flight simulators while also providingcomplementary technical consultancy, certification and operational supportservices. The B737Certified in León
The newly certified Gen738 is an FNPT II MCC simulatorbased on the Boeing 737-800 and has been certified in accordance with EASACS-FSTD(A) standards. It is a training device featuring a highly realisticcockpit and complete instrumentation, designed for advanced pilot training,particularly Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) and Airline Pilot Standards (APS) MCCcourses.
The simulator provides an exact cockpit replica, afully functional Flight Management System (FMS) and complete simulation of allaircraft systems. It also features high-fidelity visual environments withphotometrically accurate runway lighting, made possible by LightPath, LasaDynamics' proprietary visual simulation software.
This new simulator exceeds the requirementsestablished by the certification standard, as explained by Oier Fernández, Headof Training at FlyBy: “This new Gen738has proven to be a reliable and well-built training device. Its level offidelity is well above the minimum certification requirements.”
